This is the first of our new monthly TTRPG supplements, so it's an experiment in more ways than one. Crown of the Crocodile God was written for the PocketQuest 2024 gamejam, and will be available exclusively on DriveThruRPG (and here). This is the third annual PocketQuest, and the theme for 2024 is ‘Let’s Plan a Heist’ - there’s a write-up on Medium which explains all the details.
Crown of the Crocodile God is an Old School style D20 adventure module, a heist set in the sewers of Oxenburg, to steal a holy relic from the crocodile-feeding sewer nuns of Sobek, the crocodile god. There are traps, monsters, and included in the module is a cut-down, rules-light D20 ruleset and a set of pre-generated characters - which means that this module is entirely self-contained and can be played without any additional books or rules.
You know how this story goes: our heroes are hired to steal something.. from the Sewer Nuns of Oxenburg. You know, the nuns who live in the sewers and storm drains, and feed the crocodiles - to keep them from becoming a public nuisance.
It should be easy, right?
